The Comprehensive Care Division provides comprehensive mental health services to those in the general population who are in a state of transition before, during and after the onset of a major mental illness. Psychiatrists, nurses, counselors, and substance abuse specialists provide these services.
Continuing Care Outpatient Services
Assists clients and their families using a multidisciplinary approach by coordinating with various programs within the Center, as well as community agencies and services. This service focuses on both crisis intervention for acute, psychotic symptomatology and follow-up services.
Adult Intensive Day Treatment
A combination of time-limited, goal-oriented rehabilitative services designed to eliminate or reduce psychiatric symptoms. It provides assistance to clients who need skills and information for dealing with the problems of daily living, and helps to effectively integrate them into the community.
Triana Life Center (TLC)
This program is a day treatment activity center that offers outpatient services in individual and group therapy and basic living skills training with goals of mental stabilization, social skills enhancement and community living. TLC is under the Rehabilitative Intensive Outpatient Program (RIOP).
VISTA
Offers employment assistance by providing intensive support and education regarding illness management, medication management and job maintenance skills. These services help clients attain and sustain volunteer work or part-time employment assistance. VISTA falls under the Rehabilitative Intensive Outpatient Program.
Assertive Community Treatment (ACT)
ACT is an intensive and comprehensive, community based service that assists consumers in their daily activities in the community while improving their quality of life. This service is usually recommended for individuals who need an extra amount of support and encouragement to pursue their life goals.
Geriatric Nursing Home Program
Provides mental health services and educational programs to all nursing homes in Madison County relating to geriatric mental health issues. Counselors from the Mental Health Center provide services in the nursing homes.
Assisted Living Facilities (ALF) Program
Provides mental health services and educational programs to ALF in Madison County relating to geriatric mental health issues. Services are provided by a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) in facilities that have signed a cooperative agreement with the Mental Health Center.
