A. The Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a 12-week program that addresses the needs of those children and adolescents 12 - 18 years of age in need of substance abuse assessment/intervention and/or treatment services. NHRC may receive referrals from the Neaves-Davis Center, adolescents themselves, their parents, schools, physicians, clergy, and other social service organizations.
Each program includes intensive individual, family and group therapy. Groups meet for three hours, three times weekly. After completion of the twelve week IOP Program, an ongoing aftercare is available that meets one time weekly.
B. New Horizons Recovery Center for Youth offers in collaboration with the Huntsville-Madison County Criminal Justice System the Juvenile Drug Court Program. This program combines the intensity and comprehensiveness of residential treatment with the cost effectiveness and minimal intrusiveness of outpatient treatment to provide an environmental of recovery in the substance abuser's natural environment. |
