Annual Report (Fiscal Year 2009-2010) The Mental Health Center of Madison County completed another successful year in FY 2010. In spite of the continued economic challenges experienced locally, statewide, and across the country, we made progress both clinically and financially.
Clinically, we obtained full, two-year certification from the Alabama Department of Mental Health and experienced one of our most positive site visits in years. We served more people than ever before who experienced a mental health or substance use disorder. Our services to children continued to expand with new local partnerships at area schools and with the juvenile court system. In addition, our ongoing implementation of electronic health records helped our treatment providers communicate with one another in a more timely and effective manner. We continued to move towards a more integrated system of care that focuses on the whole person and treats co-occurring issues in a comprehensive manner. In addition to serving more people, we generally saw them quicker and achieved better outcomes and overall customer satisfaction. All of these accomplishments are due to a dedicated, compassionate, and hard working staff that consistently stays focused on our mission of providing quality care with a caring heart.
